ProphetX embeds its regulated exchange in Plaee’s operator platform
The beta integration is designed to spare distribution partners a custom technology build and the need for their own exchange registrations.
ProphetX has partnered with Plaee to give operators a faster route into its regulated sports prediction market, embedding its exchange in Plaee’s white-label trading interface and customer-management platform.
The integration is in beta. It is designed to let Plaee’s operator clients connect through a single integration rather than requiring ProphetX to build a bespoke link for every new distributor. In its announcement, ProphetX said operators could add prediction markets to an existing product line or launch a stand-alone distribution channel within weeks using their existing teams.
ProphetX will be available as a regulated exchange in Prediction Trader, Plaee’s white-label trading-access interface, and in PlaeeOS, its CRM, personalisation and monetisation backend. The arrangement combines exchange connectivity with the operator-facing tools needed to distribute the product.
The companies said the structure is intended to leave ProphetX responsible for clearing, custody, market operations and core regulatory and operational functions through its Partner Distribution Program. That enables Plaee clients to access the regulated exchange infrastructure without registering themselves as a Designated Contract Market or Derivatives Clearing Organization.
Jake Benzaquen, ProphetX’s co-founder and chief commercial officer, said the partnership offered operators a compliant, ready-to-go way to provide sports event contracts without taking on the underlying regulatory and technology build. Plaee co-founder and chief executive Leon Okun said the company was built to address product development, liquidity access and time to market.
As covered last week, Plaee separately partnered with Optimove to offer operators a white-label route to prediction markets alongside customer-data and retention tools.
The new distribution arrangement follows the CFTC’s approval in June of ProphetX’s applications to register as both a Designated Contract Market and a Derivatives Clearing Organization. ProphetX had submitted those applications in November 2025 and said the dual registration was intended to support a marketplace in which users trade, clear and settle event-based contracts under CFTC oversight.
The regulatory framework matters because prediction markets offering event contracts structured as swaps or futures to the general public must register as a Designated Contract Market and comply with listing requirements. The CFTC said total trading volume across CFTC-registered prediction markets exceeded $25 billion in 2025, as event-contract trading gained popularity in the United States.
ProphetX, founded in 2018, describes itself as America’s first sports-native prediction market and a regulated U.S. exchange for event-driven contracts.
