Polymarket widens Sportradar deal to 20-plus leagues

Polymarket expanded its relationship with Sportradar, extending the data provider’s sports data, streaming and integrity services across more than 20 leagues and competitions. The companies said the broader arrangement represents about 300,000 matches a year.

The added coverage includes Bundesliga, Euroleague Basketball, the Chinese Basketball Association, the National Basketball League, Grand Slam tennis events and UTR Pro. The expansion also deepens Polymarket’s coverage across soccer, basketball and tennis, with exclusive streaming for Bundesliga and Euroleague Basketball and official data for the Grand Slams.

The move builds on a previously announced relationship covering the ATP Tour, Major League Baseball, the National Hockey League, Major League Soccer and the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The deal was first reported by The Information earlier Thursday, before Sportradar and Nasdaq posted the announcement on 27 August. In the company’s announcement, Sportradar chief executive Carsten Koerl described prediction markets as a compelling adjacent growth opportunity and said accurate real-time data, premium live content and a robust integrity framework help markets price efficiently and settle reliably.

Ari Borod, Polymarket’s president of sports business development, said the expanded relationship gives the platform access to premium sports data, live content and integrity services at an unprecedented scale. The companies said they expect to keep building the partnership with additional products, properties and markets.
