Fanatics folds prediction markets into Sports & Casino app
Existing users can keep their account data and rewards as the company rolls sports betting, casino play and event contracts into a single interface.
Fanatics Sports & Casino has updated its app to put sports betting, casino games and prediction markets in one place, giving users a single interface for wagering, trading and play. Existing customers can move into the new experience through an app update without losing account details, funds, FanCash or Fanatics ONE status, according to reporting on the launch.
As reported in July, Fanatics agreed to acquire Water Street Labs and CX Clearinghouse from BGC Group, a deal designed to give it its own regulated exchange and clearinghouse for prediction markets.
The company said Fanatics Sportsbook remains available in 23 states plus Washington, D.C., while Fanatics Casino is live in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Michigan and West Virginia. Fanatics Markets, described as a federally regulated event-contracts platform, is available in 22 states and four territories. Gaming Intelligence said the new app went live across the United States on Wednesday and adjusts to the rules of each jurisdiction.
Matt King, Fanatics Betting and Gaming’s chief executive, said the app gives fans “one app where the experience travels with them,” from betting to trading to casino games. Business Insider, citing the company’s release, said the app is available to download on iOS and Android.
The launch keeps FanCash and Fanatics ONE at the centre of the product. The company said existing sportsbook, casino and markets customers can access the new experience through a simple app update, with their balances and status intact.
